Anthony VinesI have been a mediator for nearly 20 years since I qualified with CEDR in 1995. I have since taken further mediator qualifications with Southwark Mediation Centre (1998) and the ADR Group (2002).
Since qualification, I have mediated a wide variety of commercial, public law and private disputes and disagreements usually for parties who contacted me directly but also via various schemes including for the Court of Appeal Mediation Scheme, the Court scheme and the Independent Housing Ombudsman. The mediations which I have led have ranged between large scale multi-party commercial involving insurers and professional negligence to those of a more community nature regarding neighbourhood issues. Bearing in mind the range of cases which I have mediated, I am used to having to ensure from the outset that the parties' particular personal circumstances are properly taken into account and that confidentiality is assured. I continue also to practise as a barrister and therefore I both advise and represent parties in relation to mediations in my areas of practice. |
